A multi-car accident on Grandview Road between I-5 and Portal Way in Ferndale, WA happened just after 9 a.m. this morning. Law enforcement and aid crews were called to the scene where they treated and released three people and took one of the drivers by ambulance to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.The chain reaction crash involved 3-vehicles and apparently began when one vehicle rear-ended the car in front of them, pushing it into the vehicle ahead of them. The accident involved a full-size pickup, an SUV and a passenger car in the westbound lane.
Crash damage to one of the vehicles caused an oil sheen on the road; Washington State Department of Transportation crews were called in to distribute sand to decrease slickness.
Traffic was temporarily delayed while aid and law enforcement worked at the scene. Washington State Patrol is still investigating the crash.
What is a multi-car accident?
Multi-vehicle crashes are accidents involving multiple vehicles.
